RuralLight Gets Support from YSEI

The Youth Social Enterprise Initiative (YSEI) has announced ten fellows for its 2008-2009 round.  These ten youth from South East Asia represent ten social development projects in the region that utilize Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in making life better through sustainable efforts.

RuralLight represented by Lex Reyes, is one among the three Filipino projects that have qualified for support for this round of YSEI Innovators.

YSEI is a high-engagement social venture program for emerging young social entrepreneurs in developing countries. Through its Fellowship Programme, YSEI provides young social entrepreneurs with support in four key areas:

Knowledge: Essential development knowledge & tools on social entrepreneurship
Financing: Up to USD 60,000 from Seed, Start Up and Scale Up stages for only 2 ventures
Mentorship: Technical consulting through mentorship
Networks: Access to diverse networks
